Our Story

Jasper PIM was incorporated in 2010 by our Founder and CEO, Jon Marsella, to create sophisticated eCommerce merchandising software for world class brands. While Jasper started out originally working as a highly focused eCommerce systems integrator, in 2015 the company shifted its focus entirely to Product Information Management (PIM).  Jasper’s ambition is to be the best Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) PIM on the market for SMB (small to mid sized businesses) as well as midmarket and Enterprise customers.

Why Use Our PIM?

PIM stands for Product Information Management.  Managing product data is a vital part of staying competitive in the ever evolving eCommerce landscape, in particular post Covid-19. But it hasn’t been easy to accomplish: Retailers have faced significant challenges in managing their product information for years, and they’ve had to contend with various unsophisticated or pricey solutions to do so.

Before the advent of Jasper PIM, many retailers handled their product information manually by wrangling spreadsheets, a method which is prone to errors and difficult to scale.
